SFTP deletes files automatically once processed

If the SFTP location has multiple files, All files are picked up at one go and once picked for processing, they are removed from the SFTP folder.

Is there any way we can stop auto deletion?

Hi Gunjan,

If you are using File Transfer, you can follow the below process.

file_transfert_edit.png

The Advanced parameters... link lets you access the following options:

file_transfert_advanced.png

Delete the source files after transfer- Uncheck this option

Thanks,

Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,

Thank you for relying. What if we are using File Collector.

Also, could you tell me the difference between the functionalities of file transfer and file collector.

Hi Gunjan,

The File collector monitors the arrival of one or more files in a directory and activates its transition for each file received.

The File transfer activity lets you receive or send files, test for file presence, or list files on a server. The protocol used is either Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), FTP or SFTP.

Other details about File collector and File Transfer can be found at the below link.

Event activities

I will check and get back to you, if there is an option not to delete the file after processing, for File Collector.

Thanks,

Rajesh

As of my knowledge. The file won't get deleted. The file collector moves the file from source location to a different location(I forgot the exact path). You can do a work around and find the path of the file and copy it back using shell script.

Thanks

Thanks Rajesh! I used File Transfer instead of file collector and now, the files are not getting deleted.
