ACS - Throttling/Using Waves In an Email Delivery

Avatar

Level 2

Where in an email delivery activity can we set up throttling to send emails out over the course of several hours? This is an option used in ACC and when going through IP Warming but I do not see where this exists in ACS.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

In a standalone delivery, you can play around with a formula for sendtime using Random() etc. To define some kind of waves

Is there any way to do this directly in the delivery activity? The way you have suggested would require us to input a date in the segment code field which is not desired as that is already being used for segmentation/reporting purposes.

This is the only way to do sending by waves in ACS per my knowledge.

Could we submit an enhancement request? In ACC to throttle deliveries it's a simple checkbox that is selected in the delivery activity. These steps below limit us from using the segment code's true intention (used for segmentation/reporting purposes).

We've just done a warm up and had to create audiences with an incremental increase in profiles. Then send the email to different audiences over the course of a week
