We have had a couple of issues with Adobe Campaign Manager where some of our less experienced users have built workflows that have basically generated a cartesian join which has resulted in them querying billions of rows of data. While some of this is down to lack of experience and learning curves, the resulting deterioration in performance is pretty extensive and basically can grind the platform to a halt.
Is there any way of guarding against this through a configuration setting that either (1) sets a limit on the maximum rows returned by a query or (2) via a timeout ?
We are running SQL Server as our campaign database but also use FDA into Red Shift.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
