#Using SpamAssassin in Adobe Campaign

SpamAssassin is an open source anti-spam platform giving system administrators a filter to classify email and block spam.

It uses a robust scoring framework and plug-ins to integrate a wide range of advanced heuristic and statistical analysis tests on email headers and body text including text analysis, Bayesian filtering, DNS blocklists, and collaborative filtering databases.

For each email campaign we send, we should analyse its content and classify the messages into three categories:

  1. Safe to send - proceed on sending the campaign
  2. Warning - content might contain spam or phishing so we will place the campaign in manual approval mode
  3. Spam or phishing email - mark email as spam and do not send it.

For campaigns marked as spam (or phishing), users will have the option (a link in the campaign report screen) to request manual approval for the campaign. To refer more, click here.
