Custom segments in ACS dynamic reporting

Hi,

Has anyone tried creating a custom segment via workflow and use it in dynamic reporting. I have serach for detailed documentation but unable to find the same. Any inputs from forum would be appreciated. I have checked the following link and information was not enough.
