[ACS] Question about tracking

Hello Team,

I have a little problem on my ACS platform. I can't track every URL that I set up.

I explain my problem.

I have a button, which have a different URL depending a parameter. So I created a dynamic url based on this parameter. Everything was OK but I saw that I had no clicks on this kind of buttons. I analyzed the problem and saw that button wasn't tracked...

Seems that the dynamic URL broke that tracking html check and the URLs are not detected.

This is a simple URL :

As you can see, URL tracking is OK:

1468144_pastedImage_1.png

And this is a dynamic URLs (for example with google germany) :

1468286_pastedImage_2.png

As you can see, Default URL and Google.de URL  are not tracked :

I think it's a product issue. I will open a ticket about it.

Can I have your feedback about this point ?

Best regards,

Alexandre

Hi Alexandre,

You need to define Content block like these say for FR

1478729_pastedImage_0.png

and for DE

1478730_pastedImage_1.png

Once you have done that, go to your HTML and use the personalisation block

1478731_pastedImage_2.png

I did send an email to me and the link is being tracked

Hope this helps.

Hi Alexandre,

It should be possible to track dynamic URLs. I've tried a few things but with no luck on my end. I've seen that support is investigating your issue as well.

Let us know when you have a solution, I'll try to investigate this as well.

Hi Alexandre,

I think the reason is that campaign consider this as text and not url as it's dynamic text.

We have this issue in ACC when using personalization blocks or dynamic url, you need to add http(s)://<%= myvariable %> to track dynamic url.

But I don't know how to do this in ACS yet

Thanks

Hi davidk46719882,

Yes, it could be that. I'm waiting a feedback from the support.

I already tryed your solution by myself, I had the same idea, but in ACS, you can't use variable for the protocol or for the host...it's raising an error... so it complicated... You have to make all the URL dynamic, and accept to have no tracking... Big problem  hehe

Thanks for your help,

I keep you inform if I have a solution.

Thanks Vipul for your feedback.

Ok it's working, but it not really easy to use...

If I need to define PB for each link that I want to make dynamic, I'll have so many PB... !

I hope it will be improved by next releases
