Need to understand what delivery mode means for external accounts if the channel is email or direct mail

When setting up a delivery template, there is a routing field (on the general properties screen) that allows the user to select an "external account" for routing. These external accounts are managed by going to Administration - Platform - External Accounts. I need to understand that when choosing email or direct mail as the channel for an external account, then what exactly do the different delivery modes mean ( external, bulk delivery, description, mid-sourcing). Can anyone explain these to me?

Hi @dgdg - there is some discussion about Delivery Modes here: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-campaign-classic-questions/purpose-of-deliver...

Its likely a flag for the Routing to perform certain functions when it processes the delivery send. It seems likely that for Bulk Delivery the send is handled by Campaign and External is where you have to write how the delivery is handled using your own Javascript APIs.

Thanks
