Difference B/W Recipient Open and Total Opens for PNs

Hi ,

Request you to please help me in defining Total Opens and Recipient Opens report for Push notification for both Android and IOS.

I am trying to find it in the help documents but unable to find it.

    Hello Rishab,

    Open : Total number of application launches when users open the push notification.

    Unique Opens : Number of recipients who opened the delivery.

    Hi Rishabh,

    The total open and recipient open parameters are calculated for email . For push notifications the open and click implementation is done on SDK directly . So we can have only one type of Open and click for push notifications.

      Thanks for your reply.
      Actually in our instance we are getting values against both these fields and there is minute variance in it.
      Total Opens are lesser than recipient Opens which is quite strange even if we look into the logic used for emails.

      Please help us explaining the same to client.
