cleanupPausedWorkflows workflow missing

Avatar

Hi guys,

We are on ACC v7 build 8894 and for some reason the cleanupPausedWorkflows workflow is not available in our system.

If I refer to Delivery,  it appears the cleanupPausedWorfklows workflow is out of the box as it appears in bold.  The definition of OOB I've known is that, it comes by default into the product.  If so, should cleanupPausedWorkflows not appear in our system after upgrading to a version/build later than the workflow was introduced in?

Hi guys,

Just to update you all and to put an end to this thread, Adobe has responded saying customers with fresh install of the version it was introduced in (or higher) has this workflow but somehow it has been missed for customers who have upgraded from a lower version to (or higher) version this was introduced in.  Perhaps something wrong with the upgrade scripts, which ideally should've not been.  We just don't know how many more objects (that we're unaware of) are missing from our setup.

Hi Harshal,

As OOTB workflows (cleanupPausedWorfklows) are out of the box workflows which are taking care of other agencies.

So you can't see the workflow structure but it will work for clean up process.

You are able to see these workflows under Administration as you have Admin rights.

Hi,

The cleanupPausedWorfklows workflow is still in 8932.

Check /Administration/Production/Technical workflows/ for it.

If it's not there, use generic query editor (from top menu bar under Tools) to search xtk:workflow in case someone moved it.

If it's completely missing, it can be restored by copying out of /usr/local/neolane/nl6/datakit/nms/fra/package/core.xml.

Thanks,

Hi Venu, Jon,

Thanks for your replies.  I have checked it in everywhere in the system, including in xtk:workflow schema and couldn't find it.  We fear if this is the only one missing or are there any other OOB workflows missing that we aren't aware/sure of.

The question that is still open for us is,

If it is OOB, should it not come 'by default' with the product or after upgrading to (or above) the build it was introduced in?

Hi Harshal,

The OOB workflows will come by default with the product even though after upgrading. And in few cases there are few workflows which were created by other agencies and we will deploy into our environment through packaging.

They are operations or jobs scheduled for periodic execution on the server and let you carry out maintenance on the database, forward tracking information on deliveries and set up provisional processes on deliveries.

If the OOB workflow cleanupPausedWorfklow is missing in your current environment, check either lower or higher  environments and package it and deploy where you want to keep.

HI Jon,

We're completely hosted and have no access/control of the installed location.  So, we can't seem to restore by the way you've pointed out

I'm not familiar with new installs/new security measures, but ordinarily you can use execCommand() to cp files out to your sftp or public resources dir for pickup.
