Adobe Campaign Classic - Upgrade / Build recommendations?

Masters of Adobe,

I appreciate the past hints and ideas. 

I am laying out plans under upgrading our current Adobe Campaign Classic / locally hosted to the current (Newer version build). 

• What are the general upgrade precautions and recommendations?
• Which release to go with (GA)? 
• Are you aware of any issues in Windows 2016 Server, as this is the platform we are planning to use for the MTAs. 
• Anything else that can be helpful, problems with technical workflows after the upgrade is completed?
• After the upgrade, any known workflow issues.

Latest GA is7.2.1  9346.

after the upgrade , make sure 

1- All processes are up and running

2- All technical workflows are running 

3- Do a sanity check by sending a delivery or running a workflow
