Setting up conversion tracking on 3rd party partner sites

Hello,

We have several clients whom we generate leads for via a mix of channels (display, referrals from content, etc.) and would like to set up a method of tracking conversion traits that came on their 3rd party sites referred specifically from our own properties.

I've provided them with a pixel which they've placed on their "Confirmation" page, but this is firing any time there is ANY conversion rather than those that just came from ourselves.

What parameters would we have to add to the pixel in order to only "count" as a conversion if that user came from our website first please? Can anyone give an example of how/if we can do this?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Keep the pixel as it is on the partner site.

The link that you are using on your website to redirect to the partner site needs to be edited as AAM click pixel that should include the landing page URL (URL encoded), add a custom parameter as well, example: c_partnername=abc.

See this doc on collecting click data in AAM: https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/audience-manager/user-guide/implementation-integration-guides...

Then create a trait using this custom signal, and while defining segment, combine both traits (custom variable trait and pixel on partner site) as AND condition.

Thanks,
