Laptop issue preventing me using BAAAM V2 (Getting "Token Error: 408 Request Timeout")

I am trying to get started with Baaam V2. I downloaded a new file here:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/audience-manager/user-guide/reference/bulk-management-tools/...

When I get to step 4 of the config (validate token), I get the error message "Token Error: 408 Request Timeout"

There is no explanation of the 408 error code in the documentation: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/audience-manager/user-guide/api-and-sdk-code/rest-apis/aam-a...

I have checked my internet speed using https://www.speedtest.net/ and I am getting about 100 mbps so I don’t think that is the issue.

I tried to use the file on another laptop and it worked fine. I think there is something in my laptop settings that is preventing me using the file. Has anyone had this issue before / knows how to fix?

Thanks,

Rich

Update: BAAAM tool does not work directly on MAC. You would need a Windows Virtual Machine.
Response from Customer care: "BAAAM for Mac depends on shell to execute http requests using curl command. This is working as designed. If allowing `/bin/sh` is deemed unsafe then you will have to run it from a Windows VM. This seems to be the reason why you are getting the permission error."

Same here. Tried to retrieve the token from multiple browsers and still does not work. Would really appreciate some advice.

Update.. I fixed this issue. My company firewall was blocking the API addresses, causing BAAAM to not receive a response (so the request timed out). I got the API addresses whitelisted and now it works.
