Workspace: top 5 items, non-static possible?

Hi,

I am re-creating one of my old dashboards into a Workspace Project.

I would like to see the top 5 items in a simple line chart (last 2 weeks trending, daily granularity). The goal is to see if a new item comes into the top 5, for example due to a peak in traffic (non-static top 5).

But in Workspace, the 5 items refer to all data of the report suite, not the segment‘s top 5.

I know that I can drag-and-drop top 5 from the left (column) but that is not ideal because then they become static…

Is there a way to get top 5 (non-static) of my segment?

Or is there an existing idea, where I can vote, to get this option?

Thank you,

Stefanie

Stefanie,

There are two things I would do:

1) swap metrics and dimensions

2) lock the line viz to positions (not items)

Let me know if that helps.

Hi Stefanie,

You can build a freeform table with the dimension and metric filtered by the desired segment. This will make it always show top5 items that then can be visualised in the line viz as 5 lines.

Hi Andrey,

thank you for your message. Unfortunately, as soon as I drop a dimension on the left-hand side, my top items change and do not refer to the segment anymore. I made a video but here are 2 screenshots.... am I doing it wrong?

1 - top items still correct.png

2 - dropped metric and items went wrong.png

with any kind of dimension, the items change :-(
