I am still searching for the best comparison between when to use Visitor ID vs when to migrate to Marketing Cloud ID. If we have adobe analytics for Mobile as well, should we migrate to Marketing Cloud ID. How will it help in better performance.

To put it in simple words Visitor ID will provide you visitor identification for a single product like Analytics, but if you want to identify visitors across different solutions like Campaign Marketing Cloud ID would work for you.
