Setting up an Analytics data feed to an SFTP

I'm trying to push data to an SFTP location that I've set up, but it doesn't seem to be flowing through - specifically, I would like to know:

1. What exactly do I have to put as the Host? The host that I normally log into looks something like "myclient@12.345.678.90" - it says that I need to input this as sftp:hostname.com, so should it be writing "sftp:12.345.678.90.com"?

2. What is the difference between the two authorization keys? How do I know which one I need to use?

3. How do I know if my SFTP will be asking for two-factor authentication? It says that the data feed can only be sent if the two-factor doesn't exist, however, I'm concerned that it might.

Any help on the above questions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @PatrickH ,

Please find below the answer to your queries.

Q1. What exactly do I have to put as the Host? The host that I normally log into looks something like "myclient@12.345.678.90" - it says that I need to input this as sftp:hostname.com, so should it be writing "sftp:12.345.678.90.com"?

A. If you are using the Adobe managed FTP then you can use the host as ftp.omniture.com but if you are using your own FTP set up then you will need to check with your IT team to get the details around the hostname. For example, if your hostname is  ftp.omniture.com then you will need to use the hostname as sftp://ftp.omniture.com .

Q2.What is the difference between the two authorization keys? How do I know which one I need to use?

A.
From my Knowledge, Data Ware House export requires only RSA Key. Link: Send Data Warehouse requests to SFTP servers

RSA and DSA Public Key on Data Feed might be used for SFTP Export with and without a password. Link: Connect to Adobe via SFTP without a password

You can give both the keys to your IT team they should be able to identify which key do they need to use as the keys are specific to FTP architecture which your organization is using.

Q3. How do I know if my SFTP will be asking for two-factor authentication? It says that the data feed can only be sent if the two-factor doesn't exist, however, I'm concerned that it might.

A. Yes, Adobe Analytics doesn't support sending the files to the SFTP set up where the two-factor authentication is enabled. I think your IT team will be the right team to answer your query whether your SFTP set up has two-factor authentication or not.

Hope this helps.
