I have segmentation question. I feel like there is a simple answer, but I can't seem to grasp it.
I regularly get asked questions like "what products did users view after performing a search?"
I don't want to create a visit level eVar for search, so my instinct is to build a segment of "VISIT - Search Exists", and apply it to my products report. However, my understanding of a visit segment is that it will pull in all data from a visit where the criteria is true, so for this example it will show all product views both before and after a search was made.
I want to know how to remove this noise, and only view data for after an event has happened, or before an event has happened. This appears to be possible using a "Then" segment, but this is not helpful if you have a sequence of one.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
