Segmentation based on first touch attribution

Avatar

Hi

Similar to first and last touch channel attribution, I would like to set up a report that looks at first and last touch campaign codes... Is there a way of doing this with segmentation? What's the best method for this type of report?

Thanks

Hi Nick,

There isn't a way in R&A to do first touch attribution if your tracking code is set up to be last touch. However you could allocate another Custom Conversion eVar tracking code variable and set it up to be first touch that would enable that type of segmentation logic.

Best,

Brian

Hi Nick,

Thanks for reaching out.

You can create a segment based on the campaign tacking code. The example given in this page may give you an idea - https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/analytics/segment/seg_example_attribute.html

Let me know if this works out for you or you have any further questions.

Thanks!

Yes - I know how to do segmentation based on the campaign code. But what If I want to look at first touch? What's the best method? If the eVar is curently set as last touch.

Thanks Brian

Could I not do something such as:

Visitor segment

Visit container:

Visit number = 1

Referring domain = Google

Would this provide me with stats on first touch channel = Google ?
