SiteCatalyst real time reporting & Distimo integration

Avatar

We have done Distimo integration with one of our mobile app. Would be cool to make real time reporting on how many downloads we get in real time. I can’t see “downloads” as a metric in real time reporting so I guess this is not possible? Seems like not possible even with the help of processing rules. Any ideas how we could do this or impossible?

Noticed that Distimo published free API and with that everything is possible, but that would mean much more work than the default SiteCatalyst real time reporting. :(

Data is imported from Distimo once a day, so even though the underlying variable supports real-time the data isn't there. As you suspected, if you implement Analytics in your App, you can view installs, launches, upgrades and many other mobile metrics and dimensions in real-time.

Hi Antti,

http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/reference/index.html#Supported_RealTime_Metrics_and_Dime...

You will that the event1-100 are supported with real time report. So if the Downloads are tied to a specific event and you send this event to Adobe Servers then you should be able to report against it. You might want to put the value of Distimo a prop as eVars are not supported.

Best regards.

By tied you mean if we have "hard coded" eventX to downloads then it's possible? At the moment we don't have any SiteCatalyst implementation to this app, we just have done the Distimo integration (for testing purpose) and we can only see the basic "mobile app" metrics that SC/Distimo offers. Tried, but there isn't any way to tied these metrics to event with processing rules so I guess we can't do anything about this (unless we do SC implementation to the app).
