Segment into weekday

Avatar

Hi,

I am trying to find out how my sites visits and sales are distributed across the various weekdays over a timespan of lets say a year.

I could of course manually calculate the number by going trough all mondays and vice versa, but i suppose theres an easier way to do it?

Thanks in advance.

Just to update this thread, this month Analysis Workspace will be updated and you will be able to use Day of the Week dimension out of the box Time-parting Dimensions in Analysis Workspace - YouTube

You may want to create a segment with "Day of Week" and add all weekday numbers as shown in below screenshot.

Hope it helps

I do not believe this dimension is available by default. I actually found no dimension by default that gives you week days unfortunately.

This dimension needs to be setup by your account manager. Better you should contact your Adobe account manager to setup this dimension.

Do you have more details on how it is setup ? Is it retroactive once you enable it ?

It needs to be setup by using a custom Time Parting variable (you may already have a prop or eVar set aside for this) and then classify Weekday/Weekend.

I believe you are talking about the plugin getTimeParting .

it does not require the account management involvement and you should be able to add it to your Analytics implementation without any additional cost.

It won't be retroactive on the data so.

Is it what you are talking about or there is a better solution ?

henrikt69352218 I do not think there is a retroactive solution to your problem, if you did not collect some sort of day of the week data prior. A manual approach will need to be used unfortunately

Hi Alexis! When will this feature be released, and do we have to make some kind of update in order to get it work?

I believe it was yesterday: Marketing Cloud Help

I just checked in Analysis Workspace and I can see it.

Make sure you use Analytics Workspace tho.

Is there any options available  to make an alert on the basis of Average Mondays

For Example :- I need to compare this Monday with the last 7 Mondays Average (Orders, Unique Visitors) if that is less than or greater than 10% then give me an alert.

Hope to find out some solutions from your side
