Historical data upload to AA?

Hello,

I am helping a customer to migrate their GA data to AA. I am checking on the Data Sources documentation but it seems Traffic Data Source type is no longer available. So we would like to know if we can still upload web metrics like page views, sessions and unique visitors from a CSV file to AA?

Yes, traffic data sources have been deprecated. You may consider using Full Processing Data Sources, where you can upload data hit by hit using CSV files.

Checked with customer but there’s no way for them to export the data with information like ip address or visitor ID to support full processing. Actually what they want to do is just to upload the daily summary data on PV, UV, Sessions. Any advice please?

Unfortunately, uploading traffic summary data such as PV and Visits is not possible.

Overall data source is bad.

I would suggest you to either use Data Insertion API or Bulk Data Insertion API: https://github.com/AdobeDocs/analytics-2.0-apis/blob/master/bdia.md

You might want to enable report suite to be either timestamp optional or enabled: https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/analytics/admin/admin-tools/timestamp-optional.html
