Data Deployed in Jan 2021 also appearing in Previous Months

we went live with our app implementation on 21st Jan 2021, however, data is assigned to previous months as well (2020)

 

is there a possible explanation for this?

We are not reusing any dimensions or metrics so this is some very weird behavior on the Adobe Collection servers

Its is possible that the hits contain time stamp of historical data. You may check the server calls for "ts" query parameter. I will also advise reaching out to Customer Care to help you check report suite settings.
