Change in Marketing Channel Manager / Override Last-Touch Channel & Reporting Impact

I realised that we have checked the last-touch channel override for direct & internal and think that it would be best to stick to the adobe recommendation & uncheck those in order to get a better Understanding of our Advertising Channels. Now I wonder, if historical Data will be impacted / recalculated with this change (I suppose not but wanted to be sure) ? - thanks for the help!

Historical data will not be impacted by this change. Marketing Channel logic runs when the data is collected and can't be changed afterwards.
