Hi Team,

Need suggestion. I have to capture user comments from Survey form and there is no limit on number of characters user can input. So to capture it I should use eVar or List variable?

I would ask the front end application to limit the characters because you have a limit in AA. In my experience AA does not do well with such long values in terms of getting insights. Or you can work with product team to capture only first 255 character in evar.

Best of luck.

Per my opinion, Adobe Analytics should be used to capture insights and not comments. If the business needs to capture the data in Analytics, you would need to limit the characters in the forms.

We tried to do so, but the result is, it's better to capture in a survey system, not adobe...if you do want to, use eVar and set character's limit in user's comment field
