Can Adobe SDK installed on an App track cp codes used in web-based ads?

Hi, all

The inquiry is whether it's possible to use cp codes when tracking Apps.

Currently, we're only tracking web-based ads and trying to expand to App campaigns.

The current web-based ad tracking process is as follows.

1) Create a URL with cp code included
ex) https://www.nike.com/kr/ko_kr/&cp=54886662_ad_

2) Install the URL to the ad in a given publisher

3) When a user clicks on the ad, the pixel installed on the Nike.com homepage tracks the cp code and its user's actions (i.e. clicks, conversions, joins)

4) Check the metrics on Adobe Analytics Dashboard for each cp code that has been tracked

App-based ad tracking process

1) Create a URL with cp code included

2) Install the URL to the ad in a given publisher

3) When a user clicks on the ad, he/she is redirected to a given Nike App.
The Adobe SDK installed on the Nike App tracks the cp code and its user's actions within the App

4) Check the metrics on Adobe Analytics Dashboard for each cp code that has been tracked

Basically we'd like to know if the Adobe SDK can pick up and track the same cp code used for web-based ads.

Thank you!

Hello Sunmin,

For Mobile Application, it is known as Deep Link Tracking. You can append keys to the deep or universal link as context data and capture the same during Mobile Application Launch. But I am sure that it is not a straight forward implementation as a website. Check out this link.

Thank You,

Arun.

You may consider using Mobile App Acquisition for tracking links which can be correlated to in-app behavior.
