Building segment-- orders go to direct channel because of TC Channel 30 days expired

Hi,

I have a question on building segment.

As we know, channel tracking code expires after 30 days and visits came to site again after 30 days will go to direct channel.  What if visitors came to site by tracking code and didn't make any purchase, and the visits would go to corresponding TC channel(e.g. email, display...). Then after 30 days, visitor came to site again and make a purchase (the visits and orders will go to direct channel). So I want to build a segment to find out how many visits and orders go to direct channel because of the 30 days expired.

I've tried this segment rule. Am I on the right track? Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.

I would recommend you to check your visitor engagement settings as it could be less than 30 days as well, 30 days is the default value. Here is the link to the documentation - https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/mchannel/visitor_engagement.html

You can modify the 'Days of Inactivity' so it would credit all the visits in the period to the first touch. Also, you should recheck your marketing channel processing rules.

Thanks,

TM
