We currently don't see a full IP address in our implementation, the last octave was removed as its classed as PII data.
This leaves us the challenge of fully identifying and removing BOT traffic
sometimes we can use referrer or user agent, but other times I think IP address is appropriate.
we like to identify and group these as a segment, to exclude from virtual report suite, so that any bots are removed from all data (historic and future)
has anyone encountered similar situations around not seeing the whole IP, and how you got around this to identify and remove BOTS
