I am currently supporting a client for an Analytics S2S implementation, leveraging on the insertion API.
The source system (not Adobe) collects the data of the customer journey.
A middle-ware layer gathers those data from the source system repository and executes the Insertion API calls.
The hits target an existing report suite.
The assumption is that the Insertion calls may be executed with a delay after the actual user experience. Hence my design includes the timestamp field in the calls payload so to properly sequence the hits on Analytics side.
Question is: should I apply any specific configuration on the Analytics RS?
Is the Timestamp option still part of the Analytics setup? And which kind of impacts or pitfalls should I think about?
