Adobe Data Workbench counting utility pages

Avatar

Level 1

Our analytics is reporting sessions, visitors, pageviews, etc. on utility links within pages that reference fonts or icons. How can I exclude certain links from being part of the count?  I can right-click, mask and hide but the values generated by these links continue to appear as part of the results.

Adobe Analytics can only report data that it collects from tags (Page, Custom Link, Exit Link, Download Link) that you have setup in your website or app. So if it's reporting data from what you consider to be non-essential to your reporting, then you need to change your tag implementation such that AA is not firing any tags when the users interact with those utility links.

Hi @GDespian,

In case you are only concerned about the reports, I would recommend creating a segment to filter out these links and use this segment in your reports.

Here is a document how you can create segments and apply them in workspace: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/components/segmentation/segmentation-workflow/seg-...

The segments are easy to use and will help you quickly filter out the link you don't need in your report.

Hope this helps!
