Activity Map on Mobile Devices

Avatar

I cannot seem to find any information around Activity Map on Mobile Devices.

I have a data discrepancy on a mobile menu where the sub navigation is getting more activity than the navigation required to even see the sub navigation. Why would this happen?

Ok Faith, just reviewed it and the reason why you don't see elfa being clicked on a lot compared to the child item is because of the way Activity Map works, it sends data based on the last click action that can be tracked by AM on next page load. Therefore, its missing the first click because that click is tracked but the user has to make a second click to go to a page which is when the data is sent to Adobe and therefore only recording the last click. The region is correct as "elfa-menu" so you should be able to use that as an indicator that they came to that page from the nav.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I also noticed that you guys are on an old version and there has been several updates since then that may help.

It's probably because of the the way its setup HTML wise, if the tags aren't built then Activity Map may not be capturing it because the parent tag doesn't meet the requirements for Activity Map to Kick in, could you send me a link to the site so I can check the HTML and I'll let you know why.

www.containerstore.com

The site is responsive and mobile navigation will come up when you are on a mobile device (or use the Chrome developer tools to force a mobile device).

I'm specifically looking at the navigation menu, sub menu of "elfa". "Elfa" itself has very few clicks in comparison to the sub menu links that open once you click "elfa".

Thanks for looking into it!

Could you elaborate on "older version"? What can I tell my web developers in order to bring it up to date?

I believe you are currently on version 1.7 and the current AppMeasurement version is 2.7, let your developers know that they should upgrade to 2.7

I have some follow-up questions: Will the Activity Map click be recorded if there is a DTM call or is it only recorded on the next page load? If it will record with a DTM call, does it matter if the DTM call is s.t() or s.tl()?

it is recorded on the next server call, no mather it‘s a pageview or an activity (download, custom link)
