About Passing Momento Data

Is there a way I can pass a data value in Omni Report Parameters, call the Omni Api, and have Omni returns the data value back when I retrieve the result?

Gotcha. I'm afraid the insertion API is not designed to distinguish multiple requests. If you'd like to create an idea thread for it, we could explore the possibility of including it in our v2.0 API's.

Can you share more information on what you're looking for?

  • Are you referring to the Momento journaling app?
  • When you say "Omni", are you referring to Adobe Analytics?

Hello Gigazelle,

Thank you for your response.

Currently I am making Adobe Omniture API calls.  I was asking if I could pass a data value that is not part of the standard attributes of the API parameters and have that value passing back along with the responses.

I have a requirement that I would make multiple requests for multiple trended reports, iteratively.  However, when I retrieve the reports, I am hard pressed to determine which returning set of responses correspond to which one of the original multiple requests.  I am trying to find out if, for example, I could passing some data values like, request1, request2, request3, and so on.  When each the responses return with each of the corresponding values, I would be able to easily discern which response corresponds to which one of the original request.

I hope I was able to explain my problem succinctly.  Thank you for your time.

Cordially,

Daniel Mark.

Hello Gigazelle,

Thank you very much for your time and reply.  I was afraid as much.  I have devised a way around it, albeit, architecturally speaking, not satisfactory.  But your kind response settles the issue for me.

As well, it seems that you are someone knowledgable and an "insider" with Adobe Analytics.  Is it possible if I may might contact you for questions concerning Adobe Analytics; in particularly with API, in the future?

Cordially,

Daniel Mark.

You are more than welcome to tag me in forum posts that you'd like me to look at - I'm not a pro at the API, but I have a few colleagues that I chat with that help familiarize me with topics I don't know about yet.

Just be prepared for the distinct possibility for me to say "I don't know" to API questions
