I'm requesting Omniture add support for automated reports (specifically from Site Catalyst and Data Warehouse) to be delivered via secure ftp protocol (sFTP).  Using the  "Advanced Delivery Options" dialog you can specify:

Host: sftp://ftp.example.com

Port:  22

Directory:

Username: userID

Password: pass***

The problem comes in that, the first time the connection is made, the sender (Omniture) must accept the security certificate.  Since it's not currently possible for Omniture to accept the certificate, the connection fails and the report comes by email instead.

There's reference around to Omniture's Engineering Services being able to custom-setup sFTP report transfer but accepting a certificate (which, as example, my FTP client does automatically when I click "OK!") seems hardly worth en Engineer's time.  Omniture is already set up to manage SSL certificates for data collection (GET image request on https protocol), FTP could be an extension of that same system.

Thanks,

Keith
