Segment creation basis product definition instead of hit level

When we create segment basis hit level it shows the other items also (which are present in the hit)

For eg. In a single s.products was fired with values ";ABC;10;1,;XYZ;1;20". So there are 2 products purchased in a single hit ABC and XYZ.
we classified ABC as Home category and XYZ as Electronics. Now if we create a Hit based segment with classification=Home, the report will show both Home and Electronics as the products associated with them where there in the same Hit.

but our business users want to see the numbers from there perspective categories, which we are not able to achive with this hit based segments, which is creating lot of problems in reportings.

You can give a try by creating a hit based segment condition with classification=Home and classification   Electronics or doesn't exist Electronics.

Its not going to solve business reporting problem, it simply means to exclude those transactions in which items from both the category presents.

I've just had a horrible week with this exact problem. Some kind soul on Measure Slack posted this old (2018) article on Analytics Demystified which clearly articulates the problem: Adobe we need a fix for this!
