It would be nice if we had a dashboard type that was more interactive. For example as the creator of the dashboard I could configure a number of pre-determined filters that can be applied to dashboard.
For example if I created a mobile based dashboard I could provide a drop down filter based on mobile device type another based on manufacturer and another on device name so a user can toggle between smartphone and tablet. Of course I can achieve this via segmentation but it's hard to convey which segments a user should apply to dashboard to get insights often a user learns that changing a segment on dashboard will produce un-predictable results where it already includes multiple segments.
So I propose up to 3 dashboard creator defined filters which appear within the dashboard. These are approved by the dashboard creator so the users are encourage to interact with these filters to get different views on the data.
