I would like to get the details(Count) of the direct hit on the PDF or Asset URL from the browser. I want to know how many times users used the direct link to download a pdf or images. I would use that data to show in the Insights of the Assets. So that authors have clear Idea of how the asset is performing. Currently I could track the hit directly from the website and not from the URL.
Let me know how I can get the data into AEM asset insights.
Direct access of PDF cant be tracked.(unless you look at web server logs).
Do you use AEM, Experience Manager forms using DRM management? That tool may allow you to track access of PDFs to give you the data you are looking for(plus more field level of pdf pages if desired).
