Segmentation help video heartbeat, 3 content starts then none

Hi i got a request from a co-worker for a segment that should be

3 (or more) content starts then the users should not have any content starts after that,

She basically wants to create "has seen 3 videos before but then did not watch anything after"

i have tried

visitor

[hit box

content starts = 1]

then

[hit box

content starts = 1]

then

[hit box

content starts = 1]

then

content start = does not exist

and a few different varieties of it but it does not seem to be working.

I have been trying to test it with a earlier period and then a later period i still get the same userIDs having content starts in the later period so i think its not working.

any help would be much appreciated.

Can you use 'Visit' container instead of 'Visitor' to narrow down and identify whether the segmentation works?

Since you are using 'Visitor' even though you change the dates, the attribution will still go to the User ID.

Try to use 'Visit' container and change the dates. If you see different totals in the User IDs, then the segmentation is fine. Else, update us to get deeper!

But segmentation is fine. I don't think there is a problem with segmentation build!

Can you double check and make sure the hit box content starts are working correctly, such as by pulling a trended report with that item?

If it works, you can then try a single sequential segment, and see if that works as well. Let us know where the report/segment stops working, and we might be able to pinpoint what is causing it.
