Question on Anomalous Page Views

Avatar

In our Adobe Analytics reports, we are seeing page names that seem to refer to our tracking server and the Adobe end-point. These are not actual pages on our site.

e.g.

https://<Tracking Server CNAME>/b/ss/<Report-Suite>/1/JS-1.5.3/s92253016717245

We are seeing very large voiumes of requests starting from Jan. 25 that are coming from couple of browsers (chrome 66 and safari 10). The requests are also coming from domains that obfuscate origins (e.g. torservers.net).

Has anybody seen anything like this - and any pointers on what we should do to mitigate this issue?

Dear Sanjay,

It is tough for us to help you without getting some more details.

1. How did you define the Page Names? It is based on Data Element or based on some variable?

2. Are you using Tag Management System like DTM, Launch etc?

If you are okay, can you ping your site URL through message? Can help to validate and get you back.

Thank You!

Hi Sanjay,

Please check in your tag manager and with your developers for any releases made around 25th Jan.

Analyze those releases for functions that can affect your page names.

If there is rise in some values there would be drop in others. check for the urls the values for which have gone down.

Debug the urls that have gone missing after 25th

If you can share the url here then contributors can debug it and help you
