This discussion is dedicated for any critiques or praise you may have for the new Marketing Cloud UI. What part of the interface makes things easier? What is more/less convenient with this change? Good or bad, we'd love to hear your feedback.
Overall I like it, especially having the menus moved to the top. One issue I keep having is in Reports. I have access to many report suites and use the search feature to find and select report suites all the time. Since the update the search feature does not work well. Many times the characters I type in do not match any of the report suites returned. It can sometimes help if I put in an extra space after my search term. It is frustrating.
Thanks Christy for your feedback. We will look into the search issue as described by you. Thanks!
I'm not a huge fan of the new setup. But change is hard so I will adapt over time.
I really dislike at least on firefox that the menu dropdowns keep staying open or open when I don't want them too because they are too close to actual locations on the analytics menu (download etc)
in answer to the too many report suites. Maybe a feature in the report suite dropdown to set your own favorites to be sticky in the dropdown so I can pick some number of favorite report suites and have them appear at the top of the dropdown or be able to look at those vs all vs recently used ones. With virtual report suites available now I can see where users could have a lot more report suites to pick from going forward than they have had before and being able to set our own sticky ones would be a big win.
That is a great feedback! I would surely pass that on to the Product Management for possible implementation. Thanks!
I'm enjoying the new interface, especially the new top nav. My biggest complaint, though, is that Reports seems to be a bit "buggier" than the last iteration. I've had several instances where I've tried to run a report and been kicked out/had to log in again. Has anyone else reported this issue?
I like the new layout but I miss having the segments at the top - they are a crucial feature in Reports and it's slightly odd that they are on the LHS

Still having a LOT of issues with getting kicked out when trying to run report or update settings (i.e., change report suites).
Are you getting kicked out when you work in a different browser or a different machine as well?
I had Adobe setup a whitelist of our external IP addresses. This helps because if your company has load balancing proxy servers and you get moved from one to another during your session your IP address changes and the cloud (specifically analytics and mobile marketing) will toss you out because your IP doesn't match the authenticated IP you had been using. Adobe currently can only whitelist for analytics and mobilemarketing but it is night and day. I've gone from getting tossed literally every 2-3 minutes in mobilemarketing (10-15 in analytics) to going days before needing to re-authenticate and that is because of the new timeouts for analytics [which I don't like but understand the need for]. It doesn't help for the marketing cloud or other products (AAM, AMO, Target etc) but I assume that Adobe is looking to add this feature in the future (PLEASE!).
What you need to do is open a support ticket asking to have your company IP's whitelisted. You need to get from your IT department all the external IP addresses that you could show up as for the cloud. It might take some pushing and shoving to get the full real list from them but eventually you should be able to tell them the importance of having it (and you should get whitelists for all your cloud apps/environments (sales force, oracle, microsoft etc).
You can also whitelist the Adobe IP addresses. Which is documented at https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/kb/en_US/analytics/kb/adobe-ip-addresses.html . That way the two way street is setup. The Adobe IP list has to be implemented by your IT group so try to have a good relationship with them.
The other thing that often will 'fix' some of the issues with the cloud wrap around your products is to clean out your cache. Try a private/incognito browser also just to have a clean start.
Thank you Warren! That's a great feedback. Let me check if there are any updates coming around this.
