How to store VisitorID into a eVar dynamically

Avatar

Hi All,

I am quite new in Analytics and need a help to store VisitorID into a eVar dynamically. For this I need to mention the variable name.

For example, s.eVar1 = "D=<visitorID>". But I am not sure about the variable name "<visitorID>" over here. Like we know to store a marketing cloud ID we can use it as s.eVar = "D=mid" where mid is marketing cloud ID variable name. Please suggest!

In the similiar case if marketing cloud ID services is already in place, then what is the process to store the visitor id (as MID is replacing/only visitor id in this case). Shall we need to use variable name as mid only in this case?

Any other guidance on this implementation is most welcome.

Thanks

Manish

Are you using custom VisitorID? For that, try vid for visitorID.

If this is the custom visitorID, it takes precedence over mid value.
