...it was never great but this ridiculous new(ish) system were someone (who knows nothing about the AEC) answers the call only to generate a ticket with the hope that one day (probably late one night) a support person will call you back is embarrassing!

In the past you would speak to someone technical and there was a good chance that your issue would be resolved.

Why add this extra layer of frustration to the mix?
