Average Time Spent on Site is showing up Incorrect

Hi,

The Average Time Spent of Site (seconds) or even a calculated metric ATS (mins) {=ATS(seconds)/60} if viewed in Analysis Workspace either shows up as Infinity/Invalid. Is this related to the bug AN-130920 mentioned long back in the forums? Also the same metric if viewed in R&A is showing believable numbers for most of the pages (Overall Site numbers seem to be good) but unbelievable numbers (like > 1000 seconds) for few pages. What is the most viable analysis or solution here? Please help.

Dear Teja,

Go through the link Understanding the "Time Spent on the Site" Metrics - Digital Marketing and Analytics by Anil Batra to understand the gap in Average Time Spent on Site.

But Infinity/Invalid should not show up in the metric until otherwise the implementation/calculated metric is wrong.

Can you share the screen grab from Work space and your public URL to help?

Thank You

Arun

Hi,

I have the same problem: For Average Time Spent on Site (seconds) and Average Time on Site the result is infinity. Other metrics related to Time Spent e.g. Time Spent per Visit (seconds) work. In addition, the two metcirs work in other created reports in WORKSPACE. Does it depend on the timebreack? is there an explantion for that?

Thanks for any help!
