Hi thereI've got some trouble while accessing another node to read 2 properties out of it. What I'm trying to do is create a page which should set a cookie, if our SSO-Proxy sends the user-id of the user. I have created a workflow that runs fine, i am facing a problem though whenever a task is initiated for a particular user, i do not see any workflow notification in inbox, i could see the page level notification in Inbox instead.A mail is send to a user whenever workflow task is assigned to him, but this task could not be found in his workflow inbox.Can any let me know the issue might be. ThanksSudeep

I am trying to create a dialog that has an xtype of "textfield"...I need to specify that anytime the user updates this field it will always overwrite the same JCR content node.I am including this component/dialog in multiple pages, so that the author can edit the text. The issue is that the text will be updated for that page. (because I am using a relative path).What I need to happen...The content is updated and written to a central location so that no matter which page the user edits this text it will always update to a central location.A real world example: We have modal dialogs that show throughout the site. Some of these dialogs are global. Out client has requested to have an edit option on any page that these dialogs show. HiI'm trust someone will be able to assist me. Please excuse me if my question is trivial, I'm quite new to Experience Manager and CRXDE lite.I have created a group (e.g. TestingGrp) and users (e.g. Mathandos, Andrew) and associated the users to the group. In CRXDE Lite I create a folder (e.g. TestingFolder) and I want all the users in TestingGrp to only have read access to TestingFolder. When Mathandos or Andrew logs into CRXDE Lite they should only view TestingFolder and nothing else, no other nodes or folders should be seen by these users.Another thing is when I do create an access under path it shows null.I'm hoping my question is clear enough as to what I'm trying to achieve.Thanks in advanceMathandos

I've recently inherited development on a CQ 5.5 instance. Part of this site is a custom asset management wrapper around the DAM. As part of that asset management, we set a particular property on assets that indicates they are populated with required metadata. We have the requirement that only assets that have this property set to true should be visible in the content finder. Before I started working on this, custom content finder tabs had been developed that link to servlets that enforce this requirement of the "populated" property being true. However, the default tabs (i.e. Images, Documents, etc.) have no knowledge of this of course. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to add support for this requirement to the default tabs. I have tried this in both AEM 5.6.1 and AEM 6 (load 18), but it behaves (errors) the same.I'm trying to use Bootstrap 3 and LESS (the built-in compiler via rhino) and it keeps coming up with compilation errors due to the following 'extend' method, which was introduced in LESS version 1.4:&:extend(.clearfix all);When I was using AEM 5.6.1 I tried to update the version of LESS that is being used by going to /system/console, looking for the UI Commons bundle, unpackaging it, editing the "less-1.3.3.js" file, and re-packaging / re-uploading it, but that didn't work either (it behaves the same after a server reboot).Is there any way to fix this without compiling LESS somewhere else (I'd rather not compile via Maven build). Thanks,Ryan

Is there any way to just disable the auto indent in CRXDE Lite?  It's just terrible and consistently shifts my code to the wrong position.  It's not really that difficult to hit the tab key that it needs to indent for me.  I know for sure I do a better job than it does.Thanks in advance!

I want to define an abstract service that subclasses can extend. I have a requirement in my project where we need to make the older versions of a page available to viewers in publish instance. I know we can easily check older versions of a page in author instance and also compare the differences in two versions. Is it possible to have something similar in Publish instance ? I know that we can get or restore revisions of a page by using PageManager API programatically but wanted to check if there is anything available out of the box or if there is a better way of achieving this ?Any pointers will be greatly appreciated !!

HiAs Iam Working on to retrieve the page properties and its values on the page.Its a Basic form page.The page contains labels,texts,and textareas and file chosen to upload option.When the file that i had chosen is getting uploaded.In the similar way  Iam able retrieve the text and textarea values on the page but not able to retrieve the file which i had chosen.Can some one please let me know what is the appropriate way to retrieve the file which i had selected.Thanks,Kumar

Hi,I created a page using "Import Page" template in CQ5.6.1 under '/content/campaigns/geometrixx/'.by importing a package shared in "http://docs.adobe.com/content/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/personalization/campaigns/extending-the-design-importer-for-landingpages.html", I am able to see the content displayed on the page. However, if I try to rename the package/modify index.html and upload the .zip I see a popup with below messageError in importing design package.(attached pic) Please assist.ThanksNarendra.

Hi,As part of our build process we use the technique of deploying tests to a CQ instance that we spin up and invoke the tests remotely - this works fine. However, a complication is that when the CQ quickstart jar is started up it needs license.properties in the working directory. Is there any way we can repackage the quickstart jar with the license.properties so avoid this ? Or can we supply the properties from the license file as command line options or similar ?Right now copying the license.properties is messy, and every single build needs to have a copy of them available. If we could embed in the jar all builds can simply share it via a private maven repo or similar.Thanks,Jon
