Hi,I know that you are supposed to close any resource resolvers you create. My question is if you do something like this:Resource myResource = resourceResolver.getResource(<path>);Do you still need to close that resourceResolver to clean up system resources and if so how?

Hi,I have two portions of site. One is public to all where as other one is secure (which will have couple of pages) . User will login from the public portion of the site (from Sign-In link in public navigation) and will redirect to Secure portion home page. How I have implemented this is by making redirect page in default login component to /content/<mysite>/<secure-home-page>.   I have created a secure-user group and only this group will have read access to the secure portion of the site. So if any user who doesnt belong to this group tries to login, he gets 404 page. But what i want is a custom page or pop-up where user will get a message that He doesnt have access to visit this area.Can someone please help how this can be done?Thanks

I am using a rich text component to define a 3rd party data collection form like email and security question. When i click on source text icon and puts off the tags as - <table><form action=....>    <p>my form elements</p></form></table>This shows me the form, however non-functional as it does not take action.On checking the source again, it displays the HTML code as -<table><form action=....></form>    <p>my form elements</p></table>Please confirm as how to get the form tag expanded and should encapsulate the form elements as it is?

I'm running CQ5.6.1 on windows 7 sp1.OK, I'm attempting to use JWT via NImbus which uses BouncyCastle in a filter.  My problem is with the BouncyCastle bundle.  It is signed.  When I install the bcprov-jdk15on-1.49.jar it appears that felix is re-bundling it and missing up the signature.  When running I get "java.lang.SecurityException: JCE cannot authenticate the provider BC" which means the signature is hosed.  Looking at the bundle in the console I can see that all the digest info is missing from the manifest headers that is contained in the original bundle.Next I tried to add BouncyCastle to \jre6\lib\ext and update \jre6\lib\security\java.security to add BouncyCastle as a security provider.  I get "Unresolved constraint in bundle xxxxx: Unable to resolve 293.2: missing requirement [293.2] osgi.wiring.package; (osgi.wiring.package=org.bouncycastle.asn1)" which means it isn't finding the jar thru the java run time engine.I tried adding the jar to the sling.properties "org.osgi.frame

I'm having trouble configuring the externalizer service via an XML file.The first thing I did was add a domain via the Felix console to test, and that worked. Then I created a file in my project at /apps/client/project/config/com.day.cq.commons.impl.ExternalizerImpl.xml. Hello,I am using jackrabbit user manager to find out all the users in AEM repository. With userManager.finAuthorizables(Query) able to find out all the users. I want to get the immediate groups names of every user returned from above method.For example if user "test" belongs "test-group" and if "test-group" belongs to "contributors" and when i say user.memberOf() (for test user), it is returning both "test-group" and "contributors" in group iterator. But i am interested to see only the immediate group ("test-group" only in above example.Appreciated for a quick response.

I am trying to use a hashed password rather than plaintext in the LDAP Identity Provider configuration for bind.password but it does not seem to be supported.Can you verify if this is supported and if so how to enable this?

We are configuring dispatcher cache flush for pages with vanity url's. Pages can have multiple vanity url's in our case.As per documentation at https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/dispatcher/page-invalidate.html, activating a page should by default flush the content cached at it vanity path as well. But this is not happening. We are using AEM 6.1 and Dispatcher 4.1.9 on Apache 2.4.Pls. let us know if we need to do any configuration for flushing cached content on vanity url paths.A quick search in net showed its an issue tracked under GRANITE-9224. Can you let me know how I can access the details of this.

Users of my site should be able to subscribe to a news mailing list. When publishing pages based on a news page template, a mail should automatically be sent to users on the news mailing list. The mail should contain a snippet / teaser of the news page published.How would I go about implementing the above using AEM?Use the existing mailing list (subscribe / unsubscribe) functionality and add a custom workflow to handle the sending of mail when publishing a page based on the news template?

Hi Guys, I am working a task to create a form in AEM 6.0 (Adaptive forms) and need to show a lightbox pop with some text on it on selecting one of the option in a radio group.This has to be done for two separate radio button groups and each lightbox has different text in it.Has anyone tried something similar or know how can we achieve this? Thanks,Deepak

For the purpose of auto tagging, I am storing the contents of RTE in a string array and comparing it against tag namespace. When I try to store the contents of RTE in string array I am getting all the html tags \n, &nbsp, etc in the array. I am able to manually remove these tags by the following code:textEntered = textEntered.replaceAll("\\<.*?\\>", "");textEntered = textEntered.replace("\n", " ").replace("\r", " ");textEntered = textEntered.replaceAll(" ", " ");Is there any other proper or more logical way to remove all the tags from the content of RTE? Any help for more understanding would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. 

We are having an issue with the CQ5/AEM 5.6 application. We think that any time when there are some connection issues with scene7 and if that happens frequently in the interval of 5-10 min for some time (say about 1 hour) causes the CPU utilization go up (upto 1500%) and CQ5 becomes completely unresponsive and pages do not even load.We think it is not a coincidence because every these exceptions occure, AEM has the same behaviors.
