    Is it possible to build a web site in CRDXE lite (ie Hello World), put it in a package and export it to a web server like Tomcat?  If so, is there any documentation on how to do this?  Thanks for any help. Jason

Hi there,we are migration from CQ 5.5 to AEM 6.1. As said in the Deprecated and Removed Features the way the User and Group Node name are generated has changed to a random way using the RandomAuthorizableNodeName. Since the migrated nodes still have the "old" node names I was wondering if there could be any problems with the mix of the two naming ways? Is there a recomanded way how to handle this?May it lead to any problems having a mix of the naming strategies?Is there a provieded way to migrate "old" users and groups to the new naming? Would this be recomended?Is there a problem disableing the new way? As far as I know its for security reason. So the only problem would be to have the same security problem as with older CQ and AEM versions, right?Thanks and regardsMichael

I want to create a form that allows the users of my site to subscribe to my mailing list. When a user fills in their e-mail address and submits, I want an verification e-mail to be sent to the specified e-mail address. The e-mail should include a verification link and only when this link has been accessed should the lead become active.How can this be accomplished using AEM?

Hi,We have bright cove video component whose default image is not taken from the video. The component in design mode does not display any image and thus the final looks and feel of the page looks a blank screen.But when we add the image from the content finder,the image is being displayed.Attaching the screenshots[img]when image from content finder is added.png[/img] [img]no image from content finder.png[/img]How can we configure the component so that it displays an image from the Bright Cove Video, thus the default image of bright cove video would be the video's first image.Please suggest.

We are using the OOTB YouTube integration in AEM 6.0 and running into a few issues:Unable to upload a single video to multiple YouTube channels simultaneously - it initiates, completes the first upload, then fails on the other channelsIf a video in the DAM is associated with multiple YouTube video IDs (done by adding multiple ID's to CRX property dam:youtube_urls), we cannot specify which website pulls which video ID (for internationalization purposes and controlling which videos show on which country websites)Unable to update metadata and activate to publishers (title, description, etc.) after the initial video upload (subsequent activation uploads a duplicate video)Anyone able to comment on these issues or provide viable workarounds?

Hi, another tricky one, under /etc/replication/treeactivation.html you can activate filtering by only modified and only activated and ignoring deactivated pages, is there a way (using curl) to activate only active pages but ignoring modified pages?

Hi All,As I am migrating all the classic ui components into touch ui following the dialog conversion instruction, I see the dialog property tabs are automatically getting inherited in the component in touch ui mode. Whereas the classic ui doesnt inherit parent properties, is there any way to stop inheritance at dialog level. As the parents properties has nothing to do in the child page properties.Please share if anyone has any information about this issue.

Maybe, the same way like the allowedParents property does for templates. So, to be clear:1. As a user I want to open SiteAdmin.2. I'm new for this AEM. I have gone through AEM 6.1 basic training. I have the following basic doubt regarding version manager. Is it possible to delete all versions that i have created previously and i would like to start version number 1 on-wards. PFA image. In that image i have created 3 versions and the version numbers 1.30.24, 1.30.25, 1.30.26. I would like to delete all those versions and I would like to start from version number 1 on-wards. If possible kindly provide solution for this. 

Hi,i need to wait the appearance of the sidekick popup for adding a div on the little black arrow on the top right.I can plays with the lower icons (edit, preview,design) but not with the icon that i want.If i run a javascript function like these:$(window).load(function() { alert("id"+$( ".x-tool-toggle" ).attr('id')); });The id is undefined. So The installation of AEM I'm working on is pretty big and very diverse, with many different pages and micro-sites. That is a lot to tag by hand. Is there any methods of grabbing intelligent keywords and tags form the page or site's content. Even if it is just a place to start that would be very helpful.Thanks!

Can anyone give an efficient approach for inheritance in clientlibs?Scenario is one clientlibs are having global level css and js , another can extend the global clientlibs and override the existing one and can add new CSS and JS based on the requirement.

 HiI have created a component with design dialog and I want this component to be editable only on base template and not on other templates. For this, I have added a listener to the dialog and in its "render" property I have written below code:function(box) {    var currentPage = $('#design_basepage').val();    if(currentPage == undefined){        alert('This component can be edit in the Base page only.');        box.close();    }}In the above code  "design_basepage" is a variable provided in base template. This code works fine for the first time after page refresh(On click of edit in design mode,  alert is displayed saying that "it cant be edited in base template"). But second time if we click on edit, no alert is displayed and on checking the console: error is coming as " Type error: el is undefined". It might be happening due to box.close(), but we don't have a solution for it.Please help.

Hi All,        We are upgrading from 5.4 to 6.1 .  To get JCR Session we used the below code          SlingRepository repo = sling.getService(SlingRepository.class);         Session session = repo.loginAdministrative(null);Now while upgrading we want to useloginService(String subServiceName, String workspace)method of SlingRepository class as loginAdministrative method is deprecated .But we are not able to use it . We are using this          Session session = repo.loginService(null,null);We don't know what to send for subServiceName argument .If anyone used this method please mention your code.Thanks in advance
