if you have mp4 files, does it really matter which codec you use, or is there a generic one that is most universal for all platforms?

Hi All,I am trying to customize the content finder, so added new button on the content finder and click on the button it has to show assets in alphanumeric order. i am looking for all the assets from DAM has to sort and display at content finder field.i have done the customization on the EXTJS side, Sorting happens only on the last recent assets. But looking for all the assets from DAM has to sort. The default behavior of CQ is loads 20 assets from DAM with the last modified date using GQL Query.i got a content finder service and try to change the order by from  lost modified into name, but its not working.Is there any possible to achieve from CQ?Thanks,Michael

Hi All,I am trying to create replication preprocessor, which will restrict particular types of template from been replicated. For this I want to check the resource type of page been replicated and I need resource resolver object for it. Hi,    I am using form participant step in my workflow to get some user's inputs.I am mapping newly created HTML form(created through form element in the side kick) having some input fields of user to process the information in consecutive steps.When triggering the workflow for the same payload, form is retrieving old values.Is it correct behavior? New form need to be shown each time when triggering the workflow.Please guide me to achieve this. Regards,Kirithi

Hi, I want to lock first 3 columns in CQ.Ext.grid.EditorGridPanel when horizontal scroll bar is enable.  My requirement is, in Translator.html (http://localhost:4502/libs/cq/i18n/translator.html)  I wan to lock the first 3 columns in the grid.  is there any way I can customize the existing code. Please help me how to edit the component. Regards,Kumar 

In our AEM instance we are getting data from an external system, per user this data is the same during his session. So it make sense to store this data in their session / cache or something like that. As specified in this document https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/deploy/configuring/single-sign-on.htmlI have configured the     Header Names property in the Adobe Granite SSO Authentication Handler as 'testheader'The 'path' is set as / and the format is AsIsNow I logout of the instance;and set the request header using the 'ModHeader' chrome plugin; as 'testheader' : 'admin'But when I reload the page; I get the error as a white screen with the message 'Authentication Failed'As per this document; https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/HowToConfigureSSO.html the 'trust_credentials_attribute' is not required to be set any more in AEM. So; as per understanding; after logging out of AEM; and setting the request header; the request should get authenticated and AEM should login the user with login id 'admin'Is the configuration correct; or we need to configure the 'trust_credentials_attribute' in repository.x

We are having workflow which will publish pages/assets to lower environments (Prod author to Pre-Prod author and Pre-Prod publisher) first...After that the content will be manually validated in lower environment (Pre-Prod author and Pre-Prod publisher) and will be pushed to corresponding publishers (Prod publishers).There are some set of groups(Configurable in OSGi) who can initiate the workflow. If any unauthorized user initiates the workflow , then a mail will be triggered to all group members (To which that initiator belongs to). In AEM6.1 there is a group called "everyone", which is by default part of all the groups we create. So whenver a mail is getting triggered, it is going to all the members of everyone group also. I don't want to send the mail to the members of everyone group. Can somebody please suggest on how to skip this everyone group. Thanks,Arnab

Is it possible to programmatically (using JCR API - node.setProperty("cq:tags", ..) ) set a non existent TagID (i.e. it's not found under etc/tags) on a Page node?This seems to work on the author instance but not publish. Want to make sure this is something AEM comes with built in and is not custom built or version dependent.

I have a client that wants to allow a set of users permission to view the dynamic media menu for published images. When logged in under and administrator account, the user can see a menu of different renditions for images that have been published.  As a different logged in user, they can only see the original image and no dynamic media at all.We tried enabling read, modify, and create access to the /etc/dam/drm/DynamicMediaConfig path. When will oak 1.0.19 be available on the package share? When I've searched and looked I have not seen it. I believe it has a fix for an issue we are seeing on my client's authoring instance. We continue to get warning log messages that are along the lines of ...CompiledPermissionImpl Cannot retrieve versionable node for /jcr:system/jcr:versionStorage/.... and the rest of the path is the uuid where versions are stored. Usually when I notice these in the logs its coming from the classic UI contentfinder and when I look at the assets that the contenfinder json servlet is returning they are missing the versionalblepaths mixin. The issue becomes, besides the fact the paths in the log message refers not existing storage paths, all the new assets do not have that mixin added.I'm not sure if the error that is showing in the logs is potentially related to broken version history or is the issue fixed by https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-3169. Can anyone provide some insight?

Hi everybody,we are looking for a solution to hide the Design Mode Link in the touch UI if users don't have the permissions to enter this mode.This mode is hidden from sidekick in the classic UI, but it is visible in touch UI. Without design permissions (only read on /etc/designs/*), it is still possible to enter this mode, to select components for the parsys for example but it isn't possible to save.Does anybody know how to solve this behavior? Is that a bug in the touch UI?Thank you in advance,

I have setup the "CONFIGURING THE WORKFLOW EMAIL NOTIFICATION SERVICE" and "CONFIGURING THE MAIL SERVICE" so that workflow can send email notification.https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-6-1/administering/notification.html#Configuring the Workflow Email Notification ServiceThe issue I am encountering is that, though I set the value of the From-Email-Address in "CONFIGURING THE WORKFLOW EMAIL NOTIFICATION SERVICE", the workflow notification email still getting the from address email from  "CONFIGURING THE MAIL SERVICE".Is there any one had encountered this? Hello,I am trying to access a servlet with a doPost method from the jsp and getting the following exception -Caused by: org.apache.sling.api.resource.PersistenceException: Resource at '/location/Stores' is not modifiable.    at org.apache.sling.servlets.post.impl.helper.SlingPropertyValueHandler.setProperty(SlingPropertyValueHandler.java:153)    at org.apache.sling.servlets.post.impl.operations.ModifyOperation.writeContent(ModifyOperation.java:411)    at org.apache.sling.servlets.post.impl.operations.ModifyOperation.doRun(ModifyOperation.java:101) My bundle is built successfully and the resource resolver shows the path as expected and resolves to the given path.Activate method of the servlet is successfully called.However while trying to give an Ajax call from the jsp it never reaches the doPost method.I tried it both with doPost and doGet.Please help.

Friends,We have a situation where we statfileslevel is set to "2" in dispatcher.any which invalidates the cache any time there is a page activation happens at /content/<root> level. We have pages very deep in the content tree and do not want dispatcher to invalidate the cache every time a page is activated as it is a performance hit on the publisher to fetch newer contents which have not been modified.We could set this to a  higher number say "4" or "5" which would reduce number of pages for which cache would be invalidated, but we have pages very deep in the tree (10-15) as well. But ideally we do not want any other page cache getting invalidated whenever we are activating a page.I am wondering what would be the impact if we set statfileslevel to say 10 or 15? Will it create any issues i.e. performance etc? What should be the ideal settings in this case?
