What was your AI ah-ha moment?

I've been thinking about the first time AI genuinely surprised me and wowed me: not just saved me a step, but made me rethink what was possible.

A lot of us are past the early curiosity phase now, but I think that first real moment, the one where you saw the full picture, sticks with you.

So I'm curious: when did it click for you? What was the task or project where you finally saw what AI could really do, and how did it change the way you think about your work or even your day-to-day life?

Whether your moment was a big work project or something completely personal, I'd love to hear the story. Those are the ones that help others recognize their own moment when it comes. 💡

For myself, as a software developer, the move from web based interface to command line interface was the biggest jump for me. Embedding AI as agents into your CLI was faster and closer to the work. I think with most people, the closer you can integrate AI into your workstream, the more valuable it becomes.

What a great question @LaurenClev ! For me, the real “ah-ha" moment didn't happen during the early days of basic text generation, it hit me when I started diving into Agentic Commerce.

I was putting together some workflows to build AI-driven e-commerce agents. Watching the AI move past simply answering queries to actually orchestrating tasks, connecting dots, and making decisions based on the catalog data it was fed was a massive paradigm shift. It was the moment I realized that it was becoming the co-piloting user for Agentic Web.

That flipped my perspective on content strategy and UX optimization. Seeing that shift toward Generative Engine Optimization changed my focus, moving away from traditional optimizations to figuring out how to build experiences for AI agents interacting with platforms.

That was the moment the scale of it really clicked for me!!
