AI Assistant in Adobe Workfront - Ideas to make it truly powerful

The AI Assistant in Workfront is a great start, but I feel it's currently limited to basic functions like summarizing objects and answering questions about documents. There's so much more potential here.

Here are a few capability ideas I'd love to see Adobe prioritise:

1. Proactive Intelligence - Predict, Warn & Recommend

Rather than only responding to questions, the AI should proactively surface risks and recommendations.

2. Smart Notifications : Current notifications are overwhelming and hard to prioritize. AI should filter, group only what genuinely needs the user attention(ranked by urgency and relevance)

3. Workload Indicator

A real-time view of whether a user is over or under capacity across all their projects

4. Daily Task Prioritization  - When a user logs in, AI should analyze all assigned tasks across every project and present a prioritized "start here" summary eliminating the daily mental overhead of figuring out what matters most.

5. Meeting-to-Workfront Sync

Allow users to paste meeting notes directly into Workfront and have AI automatically extract action items, create tasks or issues, assign owners, and set due dates — all linked to the right projects.

Would love to hear if others feel the same.

I like #2 - I think having a feature like “catch me up” would be useful. Start the day with a summary of what to focus on.

#5 I would take one step further and think it would be a great integration opportunity. Have your notes from a meeting that used AI notetaking like Co-Pilot sync directly into your workflow project or task, and then in Workfront, use those notes to create the action items.

I’d love to see the AI Assistant be able to answer smart questions on a report (that has the data on it), such as what region is this product claim or Trademark okay to use? Which brand is this request for? When does this expire? How many requests are for this business unit? This would be very helpful for our legal, trademarks, and all product marketers / product management.

Totally agree with this as well!

I would love to see the AI Assistance help answer users questions about Workfront, specific to our instance and our training guides. We have a ChatGPT agent doing this now but it would great to have it native in Workfront. Answering questions like “what request do I submit for XYZ?” “what is the turnaround time for X jobs?” “when can I expect X request to be completed?” “Can you provide the training document for this X request type” “Who should I contact about X project for an update?”

Our marketing teams are fielding questions all day long and I also get lots of questions as an Admin that could easily be surfaced with an applied skill or knowledge documentations.

Agree with this as well - having it know what our company processes are by referring to a sharepoint site with documentation for example would be great.

These are all great ideas and I’m hopeful that the AI Assistant will evolve into something far more helpful and intuitive. I think most of the bones are there such as Project Conditions, Project Health, Workload Balancer, and Priorities so now Adobe just needs to figure out how to leverage these using AI to help tell the composite story at the individual, team, and group level.

Thinking back to the sessions at Summit, I’m hoping the AI Collaborator can help with number 2 before the year ends. So often we are turning to Fusion to build highly specialized notifications that aren’t available out of the box only to get the feedback that the user “didn’t see it” because they “get too many emails”

@Srinija_N - thank you for posting this. The AI Assistant is really just the beginning, and we have many more AI-driven capabilities and initiatives planned moving forward. Also, I enjoyed reading the comments from others in the thread - thanks all.

We’re actively working toward capabilities like #1, and #2 is already on the backlog. #3, #4, and #5 are all areas we’re exploring as well, so it’s great to see strong alignment with what customers are asking for.

I can’t share timelines yet 😉, but feedback like this genuinely helps shape the future of the product. The shift toward more agentic work management experiences is a major priority for us.
