The Experience League Community is a space for learning, sharing, and connecting. Generative AI tools can be helpful for brainstorming ideas, drafting responses, and exploring solutions—but trust and authenticity remain at the heart of our conversations. These guidelines will help you use AI responsibly while keeping discussions accurate, respectful, and valuable for everyone.

As technology evolves, we’ll continue to review and refine these guidelines to ensure they meet the needs of our Community.

Why Responsible AI Use Matters

AI is a powerful tool, but it’s not perfect. It can make mistakes, reflect biases, or provide incomplete information. By following these best practices, we ensure that the Community remains a trusted resource for all members.

Best Practices for AI in Community

  • Enhance, don’t replace your voice. Use AI to support your ideas, not as a substitute for your perspective.

  • Verify before you post. Always check facts and confirm accuracy with reliable sources. AI can be wrong or misleading and your review matters.

  • Add value. Avoid copy-pasting raw AI output. Make sure your post is relevant, helpful, and tailored to the discussion.

Transparency Builds Trust

If AI played a significant role in shaping your response, consider adding a short note for clarity. Example: “Created with the help of AI.” This helps others understand the context and keeps conversations open and honest.

Quality and Accuracy

AI-generated content should meet the same standards as any other contribution in the Community: it must be informative, accurate, relevant, and helpful. Before posting, take time to:

  • Verify accuracy by cross-checking facts with trusted sources.

  • Review any sources provided by AI and include them when appropriate.

  • Ensure clarity and relevance so your post adds real value to the discussion.

This extra step helps prevent the spread of misinformation and keeps our Community a reliable resource for everyone.

Ethical and Safe Use

Generative AI can be a great resource, but it comes with responsibilities. When using AI tools, keep ethics and safety in mind to protect yourself, others, and the integrity of the Community. Here’s what to consider:

  • Respect copyright and originality. Don’t pass off AI-generated work as entirely your own without disclosure.

  • Protect privacy. Never share personal or sensitive data with AI tools or in your posts.

  • Watch for bias. AI can reflect stereotypes or inaccuracies—review critically before posting.

These steps help ensure that AI use supports learning and collaboration without compromising trust or safety.

Keeping the Community Helpful

If you see content that seems inaccurate, misleading, or lacks disclosure, you can report it using the “Report” option or by messaging a Community Manager.

We take all reports seriously and review each situation carefully. Our goal is to maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming space for everyone. If a post or behavior violates our Community Code of Conduct, here’s what you can expect:

  • Collaborative Approach: We’ll work with members to clarify and correct issues whenever possible.

  • Content Edits or Removal: Posts that break the rules may be edited or removed to protect the integrity of the Community.

  • Persistent or Severe Misconduct: Repeated violations or harmful behavior can lead to temporary or permanent suspension of posting privileges.

For guidance on what’s appropriate, review the Community Code of Conduct. If you have questions about a decision, you can always reach out to the Community team at [exlcommunity@adobe.com].
