Multiple Level Column Sort - Ability to sort by 1 column and then another, etc

Like in excel, want to be able to sort (particular in the project list level) by a column such as project name and then another level such as status. I feel like I must be missing something that this does not exist.

Hi Marnie,

I'm confused... you can sort up to three different columns. In most of our project reports, we sort by Project Status, Planned Completion Date, and then Name. Is this request to have more than 3 sorts?

Hi - I'm not speaking on a report or by using groupings. What I am referring to is when you login, and you, for example, click on Projects tab and chose All Projects, you can sort the list by clicking on one of your columns. I want to be able to have multiple level sort but not by using groupings. Just the simple sort of the list. I hope this explains it better

You can sort by multiple columns if you hold the ctrl key down when you click the second / third column in the view. Clicking the column again would change the sort order.
