Kanban Backlog - Ability to Group, Filter

In Scrum Backlog, one can set Filters, Views and Groupings; however, in Kanban Backlog, one can only set Views. It would be great to also be able to set Filters and Groupings on the Kanban Backlog as well. We have a team that just started using Kanban a couple of months ago, and now they are looking for a way to easily comb through the Backlog by certain parameters, but without the ability to filter or group, it makes it very difficult to do so.
