Question
Is it possible to change billing rates for existing job roles without the risk of actual revenue changing on previous projects?
Here’s our use case:
- We created a job role and added a billing rate.
- We assigned a worker (user) that job role with billing rate.
- Worker with the job role is assigned tasks in projects.
- Then Worker with job role logs hours and there are actual revenue for project (hours times billing rate for job role).
- Now we need to change the billing rate for the same job role. But we don’t want the actual revenue to change for previously projects. Actual revenue should stay the same at previous billing rate.
Is it possible for us to change billing rates for existing job roles without the risk of actual revenue changing on previous projects?
We don't use Billing records on our project today. Is Bill Records the only way to lock in the Actual Revenue?
If so, this would mean that we need to go back and create billing records for all our existing projects. Is there a solution to create billing records in bulk?
